Say it with me slowly....

"FAAAAABULOUUUUUUSSSSS"

Honestly....where do I start?? As you all know, because I've only mentioned it like 500 times, my friends Dawn & Hope came to Maine for a 4 day weekend.

It was awesome.

We had more fun then most people should legally be allowed to have.

We shopped, we ate lobster, we shopped, we crafted, took fun photos, we shopped, Hope fixed my computer, we shopped, we bugged Big Daddy, we socialized, we shopped & shopped some more!

Seriously, it was too much fun! I'm going to show you a couple of my favorite photos, but you can see the whole set here.

Hope took ALL of the photos, the girl is ON IT!

Me, Hope & Dawn at a restaurant called "Sara's Cafe" in Wiscasset

We are not sure why Hope looked like she was hanging on for dear life...but I still love this photo!

OK...this really is my fave! We had been walking around the Old Port the day they got in and some nice stranger snapped a photo for us. You can just tell how happy we all were to be hooking up!!

We decided to stick around the farm on Sunday, so we had a crafting session. The girls made their own pendants using my secret techniques. (secrets are for sharing with your favorite gal pals!)

A fabulous weekend with "away" friends wouldn't seem right unless my bestest friend Judy was included!!

This is our last lunch together at a place called Mims in the Old Port.

Just a word about these two gals....get the tissues out folks.

Hope as MOST of you know is a fabulous collage artist and is selling her paper products all over the country. Hope is such a loving and caring person. She has done so much to help me out, and has been a huge support system for me. She wants to see her friends succeed, and she does everything she can to help, so unselfishly! She is extremely modest & so unpretentious! She was one of my very first blogging friends 2 years ago, and we knew we had a kindred spirit connection from the get go. If you ever hook up with Hope...be careful...her enthusiasm can be catchy!

Dawn....*sigh....lovely Dawn. A true blue, down to the core wonderful soul. Dawn has many goals, and I see her accomplishing everything she wants in life. She is always so upbeat and positive....I wished she lived down the street just so we could "power walk" together everyday! She is so poised and put together and most importantly always smiling! She is bright and caring...keep your eye on this girl, she's going places.

I'm so glad the two of them came, and we plan on making it a yearly tradition!

Thank you girls...can't wait till next year!

I had SUCH a wonderful time too! I LOVE that photo of you and Judy - one of the best from the weekend!
Are you trying to make me cry? Here is what was left out...

[start mushy-ness]

Jes, where to start.... She has an artistic flare for everything she touches, and it is so wonderful to see her discover a new niche in the craft/art world with her amazing necklaces. She tells it the way it is, which is refreshing these days! She is full of positive energy, and you can not help but want to be around her. Her friends that I met, including her husband, can atest to this - I could tell how much they all love her just by watching them interact! She is one of the truest people I know and I look up to her!

And I completely agree with Jes about Dawn, I even told Dawn one night before we feel asleep that when she talks about all she wants to do, in my mind it is not 'IF' it is 'When'. She asked me why and I could not even put it into words well - but you did here - very well said.

Both Dawn and Jes, while we were in New York City last year, sat me down at dinner one night and just flat out told me that I needed to get over my insecurities and move on. That night changed me - it truly did, I know I still have some self-esteem battles to win... but I am making progress more than ever before because of that night.

There is another bunch of crafty online girls we are close to - you know who you are - and they each have given something to me to help me get to where I am today (both personally and with Paper Relics) - thank you all, truly, from the bottom of my heart.

[end mushy-ness]

Must sign off now - need tissues...

xo!

You girls are too much!! I'm sitting at my computer sobbing.

Jes - I can not thank you & Big Daddy enough for welcoming us into your beautiful home. You both are so warm & open. And there's just this ease about you both. All of your friends/family were so much fun. And everything that Hope said about you is absolutely true. You are so inspiring!! I'm very lucky to have you in my life.

Hope, you never cease to amaze me with all of your talents. I will treasure our late night talks (I've been driving Tom crazy since I returned, babbling in bed) & your computer lessons (you have the patience of a saint!) You mean so much to me.

I love you both, my New England gal pals!!! LOL (Lots of Love) Dawn
